Index to Moth Plates
Below are links to 16 moth plates. There are at least 2,000 - 2,500 species of moths in our area (rough estimate), possibly more. I have found over 700 species, and more than 650 species are featured on this website. In arranging these 16 plates, I have not adhered to scientific groupings. Rather, I have attempted to combine similar-looking moths in each group. If you want to browse the moths by Hodges Number and moth families, click on the two Moth Index links.
